Job summary

Heaviside Industries, headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Quality Assurance professional to lead the NC/RC-CA process, drive corrective actions, and track nonconformance trends. You will plan internal audits to ensure ISO 9001 compliance, support certification efforts, and oversee FAI inspections and QMS documentation.

Responsibilities include risk management, RMA reporting, and quality metrics reporting to management. ITAR-sensitive environment; must be US-person per ITAR requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience managing NC/RC-CA processes and driving corrective actions.
• Solid understanding of ISO 9001 and internal/external audits.
• Experience planning/conducting audits (internal and external).
• Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) procedures.
• Risk assessment and risk management experience.
• Document management / QMS administration experience.
• Ability to produce quality reporting and KPI analysis.
• Familiarity with chemical management requirements and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and process discipline.
• Strong written and verbal reporting skills.
• U.S. Person under ITAR regulations.
• Familiarity with ERP/MES systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the NC (Non-Conformity) process from root cause to corrective actions.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Track and report nonconformance trends.
• Plan and conduct internal audits; support ISO 9001 compliance.
• Support certification and surveillance audits.
• Plan and execute First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Review and approve FAI documentation and reports.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate quality-related risks.
• Develop, maintain, and control QMS documents and procedures.
• Produce quality reporting for management and stakeholders.
• Manage RMA reporting and analysis; monitor quality metrics.
