Job summary

CoorsTek in Golden, CO is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer I to apply quality engineering principles across production, measurement, and quality systems. You will work with Production, Engineering, Metrology, Quality, and Supply Chain to investigate issues, analyze data, and drive conformity.

Preferred candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, with 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent credentials such as ASQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field preferred.
• 2+ years of quality/engineering/manufacturing experience in lieu of degree.
• ASQ certification or credentials valued but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Knowledge of GD&T and mechanical inspection preferred.
• Experience with SPC, capability analysis, and MSA preferred.
• Hands-on problem solving in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct statistical analysis to assess and improve product and process performance.
• Develop and evaluate QA/QC methods and systems.
• Develop and revise quality documentation; support training as appropriate.
• Support internal audits and external/customer or supplier audits as assigned.
• Coordinate material review and nonconforming product activities.
• Investigate customer concerns and perform root-cause analysis.
• Provide guidance on problem solving and SPC to manufacturing staff.
• Plan and evaluate MSA activities and gauge R&R.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Metrology, and Operations on inspection methods and process controls.
