Job summary

Celestrix is seeking a mid-senior level Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure products, materials, and processes meet quality standards and customer requirements. This role oversees quality control stages across the production line, monitors KPIs, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues.

The QA Engineer conducts root cause analysis, implements corrective actions, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in product engineering, including design, development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
  • At least 2 years in a leadership role overseeing engineers or technicians.
  • Proficiency in ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee quality control stages in production and monitor FPY daily.
  • Ensure each step of the manufacturing process adheres to quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Work closely with QC inspectors to ensure inspection processes are effective and aligned with standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address manufacturing defects and improve overall quality levels.
  • Analyze data, lead team meetings, and develop solutions to eliminate or mitigate recurring issues.
  • Track quality yield rates, identify trends, and implement corrective actions across all manufacturing plants.
  • Respond promptly to customer complaints and ensure timely resolution to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor KPIs related to quality, efficiency, and productivity, and work toward achieving defined goals.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure product designs are compatible with manufacturing processes.
  • Track and close 8D corrective actions.
  • Lead and update PFMEA and PMP reports.
  • Support QC functions as part of a collaborative team.

Job description

Mid-senior level Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for ensuring product quality across manufacturing, leading root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

We are seeking a qualified Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure products, materials, and processes meet quality standards and customer requirements. This role oversees quality control stages across the production line, monitors key performance indicators, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues. The QA Engineer conducts root cause analysis, implements corrective actions, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.

Location: Candidates should live within 30 minutes of ZIP Code 76177.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee quality control stages in production and monitor First Pass Yield (FPY) daily.
  • Ensure each step of the manufacturing process adheres to quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Work closely with QC inspectors to ensure inspection processes are effective and aligned with standards.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address manufacturing defects and improve overall quality levels.

  • Other Skills:
    • Excellent problem‑solving and root cause analysis abilities.
    • Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
    • Effective communication and leadership skills to drive quality initiatives.
    • Project management experience with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CQE certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with SMT/FA manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles.
Working Conditions
  • Combination of office and production floor environment.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods during inspections.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional travel for supplier audits and quality reviews.
  • Exposure to manufacturing noise and machinery; appropriate PPE provided.
