Job summary

FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, U.S.A., Inc. in Mesa, Arizona, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to strengthen our QMS and product quality initiatives for semiconductor customers.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will execute and improve key QMS processes, perform root cause analysis with 8D/MBPS, and support ISO-9001 goals. Collaboration with operations and customers is essential, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering or equivalent with specialization in Quality Systems/ Statistics
• 1–3 years of experience in QA systems, semiconductor industry preferred
• Effective communication (verbal/written/presentations) at all levels
• Willing to travel to other sites, occasional overseas travel

Responsibilities

• Execute and improve key QMS processes to drive improvements in FEUS quality
• Drive root cause analysis using 8D/MBPS methodologies and coordinate containment and corrective actions
• Support ISO-9001 Quality Management goals (Audits, Documentation Control, Non-Conforming Material, PCP/FMEA, Calibration)
• Provide training to personnel to ensure awareness of quality expectations
• Interact with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality with Operations and Business
• Support manufacturing in designing and documenting procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection
• Report directly to the Quality Manager
• All other reasonable duties as assigned

The Role

Job Description

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• The Quality Engineer works closely with the Operation and Business organizations to ensure quality strategies are consistently executed to meet customer’s and corporation’s quality expectations.
• Drive root cause analysis, using proven 8D/MBPS methodologies, to identify root causes of problems identified. Coordinate containment and long-term corrective strategies. Includes facilitating customer taskforce activities.
• Actively support organization’s ISO-9001 Quality Management goals, in such areas as Audits, Documentation Control, Non-Conforming Material, PCP/FMEA, and Calibration.
• Provide training to personnel to ensure awareness of quality expectations.
• Interact with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with Operations and Business personnel.
• Support the manufacturing groups to design, implement and document procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
• Reports directly to the Quality Manager
• All other reasonable duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering or equivalent technical degree, with specialization in Quality Systems and Statistics.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in QA systems, (semiconductor industry preferred).
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written/presentations) at all levels.
• Self‑motivated individual with a passion to learn new skills.
• Experience in problem solving techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge in the principles of statistics and statistical process control is a plus.
• Open to traveling. Visits to other manufacturing sites, supplier and customer sites (including occasional overseas travel)
• Proficiency in MS Office.
