Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer for a Fort Worth client. This 100% onsite, full-time position ensures products and processes meet quality standards across the production lifecycle.

You will lead QA activities, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate with Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement, PFMEA, and CAPA implementations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
  • At least 5 years in product, quality engineering or manufacturing.
  • 2+ years in leadership or supervisory roles.
  • Deep knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949 and CAPA processes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor quality control processes to meet internal and customer standards.
  • Lead FPY tracking and analyze data to drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with QC, engineering, and operations to resolve issues.

Job description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join a client in Fort Worth. This role is 100% onsite. This is a full-time, direct hire position.

The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products, materials, and manufacturing processes consistently meet quality standards and customer expectations. This role oversees quality assurance activities throughout the production lifecycle, monitors key quality metrics, and partners with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. The QA Engineer utilizes data-driven analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective action methodologies to enhance product quality, improve manufacturing performance, and strengthen customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and oversee quality control processes throughout manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements.
  • Track and analyze daily First Pass Yield (FPY) performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with Quality Control (QC) inspectors to ensure inspection procedures are effective, standardized, and consistently executed.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve product and process quality issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze quality data, facilitate team reviews, and lead initiatives to eliminate recurring defects and improve process capability.
  • Monitor quality yield performance across manufacturing sites and drive improvement plans to achieve quality objectives.
  • Respond to customer quality concerns and complaints, ensuring timely investigation, resolution, and customer communication.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Product Design and Engineering teams to ensure product designs are manufacturable and aligned with quality requirements.
  • Lead the tracking, implementation, and closure of 8D corrective action reports.
  • Maintain and update Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Process Management Plan (PMP) documentation.
  • Support broader Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions as needed to meet organizational objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost reduction, process optimization, and customer satisfaction.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product engineering, quality engineering, or manufacturing environments, with exposure to product design, development, testing, and production processes.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience managing engineers, technicians, or quality personnel.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
  • Proficiency with Minitab and other quality analysis and statistical process control tools.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, 8D methodology, and quality improvement techniques.

  • Excellent data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.

  • Proven ability to lead quality initiatives and drive continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification or equivalent quality certification.
  • Experience supporting SMT (Surface‑Mount Technology) and final assembly manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience working in high‑volume electronics manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with customer quality management systems and audit processes.
