Responsibilities

  • Record label and labeling material incoming lots into the Incoming Labeling logbook.
  • Generate initial AQL documentation for each incoming lot and attach proper documents.
  • Create an Inventory Control Record for each incoming labeling lot.
  • Sample and count each incoming labeling lot.
  • Inspect and release all incoming labels and labeling material using masters, UPC scanner, and visual inspection.
  • Reconcile labeling after counting and inspection process.
  • Transferring labels and labeling materials returns into active inventory.
  • Reconciles labels and shipper labels after packaging completion.
  • Assist in entries of final quantities of labeling materials for all completed packaging work orders.

Quality Assurance Clerk I

Full Time Commack, NY, US

Salary Range: $21.00 to $24.00 Hourly

The Quality Assurance label inspector is responsible to work within the label department to ensure all labeling materials are handled according to stated procedures, as well as other responsibilities assigned by department Manager.

Principal duties and responsibilities for this position include:
  • Records label and labeling material incoming lots into the Incoming Labeling logbook.
  • Generates initial AQL documentation for each incoming label and labeling material lot and ensures the proper documents are attached.
  • Creates an Inventory Control Record for each incoming labeling lot.
  • Samples and counts each incoming labeling lot.
  • Inspects and releases all incoming labels and labeling material, using master overlays, UPC scanner, and visual defect inspection and documents finding.
  • Reconciliation of incoming labeling after counting and inspection process
  • Counts labels and IFC’s returns after packing operation is completed and documents quantities on inventory control records.
  • Transferring labels and labeling materials returns into active inventory.
  • Reconciles labels, labeling material, and shipper labels upon packaging completion.
  • Assist in entries of final quantities of labeling materials for all competed packaging work orders for consumption in sage.
  • Performs Monthly label and label material inventories.
  • Inspects and releases incoming labels, and labeling materials using labeling masters, overlays, UPC scanner, and visual defect inspection.
  • Warehousing of all labels, released, returned and movement of inventory based on storage requirements.
  • Daily verification of UPC scanners
  • Daily and annual verification and validation of label counters.
  • Maintenance of Incoming Labeling logbook
  • Assistant in inventory discrepancies investigate.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Computer proficiency Word, Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift
  • Must be able to bend, twist, and squat
  • Must have good vision, aided by glasses if Necessary
  • Experience in pharmaceutical environment preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of cGMPs, fire, and general safety
  • Physical Requirements – ability to bend, twist, reach, climb ladders, lift materials up to 25 lbs. and stand for an extended period of time
  • Must successfully pass the Color Blind Test as (normal color vision)
