Job summary

Embraer in Fort Lauderdale, FL seeks an Auditor for EAMS quality processes. You will perform internal audits, assist in planning, and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include preparing detailed reports, tracking corrective actions, guiding staff, and maintaining vendor lists. A&P Certificate preferred; 3+ years as aircraft inspector or auditor; knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in aviation quality systems and auditing processes.
  • Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards preferred.
  • Knowledge of FAA, NFPA, OSHA regulations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and training to staff on quality assurance matters.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in aviation regulations and industry standards.
  • Participate in safety and quality meetings and workshops.
  • Recommend company policies and procedures to reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements.

Position Summary

Performs auditing function for all EAMS processes/procedures throughout the facility.

Job Responsibilities
Primary:

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education:
  • A&P Certificate Preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • A.S. / B.S. Degree in Aviation preferred
Experience
  • Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 / C.A.S.E.-1A preferred
  • Prefer three years’ experience as an aircraft inspector or auditor
  • Practical experience with quality audit procedures (may be met by formal auditor training, prior experience as an auditor, or a minimum of 40 hours auditor experience with documented On-the-Job Training (OJT) by a qualified auditor).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of safety and operating procedures while working around aircraft and while working around component maintenance shops.
  • Knowledgeable of the following applicable regulations: FAA; NFPA; OSHA.
  • Ability to understand company SOP’s and customer GMM’s.
