The Quality Systems Auditor role involves planning and conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems and industry standards, coordinating corrective actions, maintaining audit documentation, collaborating with teams for continuous improvement, and requires a technical background with experience in quality systems and relevant certifications.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and measure adherence to internal company policies, procedures, and external regulations, standards, and guidelines
- Plan, conduct, and document internal audits to evaluate compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable standards.
- Perform ISO audits (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 27001, or relevant standards), including preparation, execution, reporting, and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Coordinate and support external audits by regulatory bodies, certification agencies, or customers, including scheduling, document preparation, and facilitating auditor requests.
- Track, report, and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) resulting from audit findings to ensure timely and effective closure.
- Maintain audit documentation and records in accordance with quality system requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide audit findings, process gaps, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Consistently respond to colleagues regarding customer requests for information related to our quality system, i.e., Quality Surveys
- Identify and communicate nonconformance occurrences to the appropriate managers
- Follow up with support groups on any required documentation and/or corrective action(s) that are still outstanding from audits
- Maintain nonconformance and corrective action data; ensure its integrity and accuracy in ACT ONIT(Opportunities, Nonconformance & Improvement Tracker).
- Strive to create audit enhancements and process efficiencies
- Provide training to enhance colleagues' experience during audits
- Increase overall awareness of QMS and quality requirements within Actalent
- Continue to learn and adopt changes in the industry regarding quality assurance methods and tools
- Perform and complete ad hoc assignments and/or projects as requested
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in electronics or related technical field
- Five (5) years of experience in quality management systems
- Skill to remain organized while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to a wide variety of audiences
- Maintains active membership and/or credentials in external quality organizations and societies
- Six-Sigma yellow belt or greater preferred
- Certified Quality Auditor a plus
- ISO 9001 internal auditor certification is a plus
- Ability to use and analyze statistical data sets to generate periodic reports to management
- Able to meet expectations of internal and external customers
- Utilize critical thinking when faced with a problem or task
- Goal-driven with a focus on self-development
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office, Minitab, and Visio applications
