Chromalloy in Newnan, GA is seeking an Associate Quality Engineer to support evaluation and resolution of quality issues related to turbine engine components; collaborate with engineering, operations, customers, and suppliers to ensure quality system compliance.

This role focuses on analyzing data, implementing corrective actions, and contributing to ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience with AS9100/AS9110, FAA Part 145, FAA Part 21, CAA, CAAC, or military requirements.
• Experience with QDAS, Minitab, Power BI, Microsoft Access, or PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• At least 1 year of aerospace quality experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Job Summary

We’re looking for an Associate Quality Engineer to support the evaluation and resolution of quality and technical issues related to the manufacturing and maintenance of turbine engine components. You’ll work across engineering, operations, customers, and suppliers to support quality system compliance, resolve issues, and use data to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and technical requirements to establish and maintain quality standards.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of relevant aerospace quality experience.
• Experience with 8D, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, or statistical problem-solving tools.
• Knowledge of GD&T and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience supporting quality systems or regulatory requirements within an aerospace or similarly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other tools used to analyze and communicate quality data.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Experience with aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements such as AS9100/AS9110, FAA Part 145, FAA Part 21, CAA, CAAC, or military requirements.
• Experience with QDAS, Minitab, Power BI, Microsoft Access, or PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with navigating OEM engine manuals.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.
• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching throughout the workday.
• Regular lifting and movement of materials up to 30 pounds.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety requirements.
