Job summary

Elanco seeks a Quality Assistant - Environmental/Wastewater Technician in Clinton, IN to assist the Environmental Control Lab. You will perform sampling, testing, and reporting to ensure compliance with GMP and safety standards, working with waste treatment and spill containment systems.

The role requires a High School diploma and prior analytical lab experience. You will update SOPs and assist in investigations while supporting DMRQA and WET testing activities in a regulated environment.

• Analytical laboratory experience is required.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills are essential.
• Proficient computer skills are needed for data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform field sampling and operate site waste treatment unit.
• Identify spills and activate containment and spill capture systems.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on lab instrumentation.
• Maintain and update SOPs, GP s, and OPs for compliance and documentation.
• Support investigations and data entry in the DMS system for annual QA testing.

You will be responsible for supporting the Environmental Control Lab through wastewater discharge assays, spill response containment, and meeting NPDES compliance reporting requirements.**Your Responsibilities:*** Perform field sampling, testing, and operation of the site's waste treatment unit while proactively following all safety and PPE requirements.* Recognize and respond to spill events by identifying releases to the discharge stream and operating the spill capture system to ensure containment.* Operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on lab instrumentation including standardization and QA conformance checks.* Maintain and update SOPs, GPs, and OPs to ensure procedural compliance and accurate documentation of laboratory methods.* Support investigations into incidents affecting the lab and contribute to annual DMRQA and WET testing through data entry and validation in the DMS system.**What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):*** Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.* Experience: Analytical laboratory experience.* Top Skills: Strong documentation and organizational skills with the ability to maintain interpersonal communication in a team environment.**What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred qualifications):*** Experience with Gas Chromatograph, Total Organic Carbon Analyzer, and Karl Fisher Analyzer instrumentation.* Background in wastewater and environmental laboratory assays.* Accurate and proficient analytical skills with a strong foundation in math.* Ability to work effectively within a heavily regulated environment.* Proficient computer skills.**Additional Information:*** Location: Clinton, IN - On-siteStudies have shown underrecognized groups are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification.
