• Verify dimensions on products such as hole locations, recesses, contours, and other critical features.
• Interpret blueprints and apply GD&T principles.
• Document non-conformances and communicate quality issues to Manufacturing, Engineering, and Tooling teams.
• Participate in calibration of measurement tools and equipment for ongoing accuracy.
• Log production counts, inspection results, and non-conformances; flag discrepancies to machinists or quality managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Inspection: Conduct visual and metric inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and microscopes to ensure parts comply with engineering blueprints and customer specifications.

  • Verify dimensions on products such as hole locations, recesses, contours, and other critical features
  • Interpret blueprints and apply GD&T principles
  • Document non-conformances and communicate quality issues to Manufacturing, Engineering, and Tooling teams
  • Participate in calibration of measurement tools and equipment to ensure ongoing accuracy in quality assessments.
  • Log production counts, inspection results, and non-conformances. Flag discrepancies to machinists or quality control managers to prevent defects from moving to the assembly or shipping phase.

• Precision Finishing: Use hand tools (files, scrapers), power tools (pneumatic grinders), and specialized machinery (sandblasters, tumblers, deburring equipment) to smooth rough edges without altering critical dimensions.

• Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with company safety standards and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.

Essential Qualifications

• Experience: 0-3 years in precision manufacturing, machining, or metal finishing environments.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, routers, and work orders. High degree of manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination.
• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
