Republic Extrusions/Team Pride Extrusions in Megargel, TX is seeking a Quality and Compliance Manager to lead the QMS and ensure ISO 9001, OSHA, and TCEQ compliance within the production facility.

The role requires a detail-oriented leader who can manage internal audits, develop and implement quality standards, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and environmental regulatory requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
• English required; bilingual is ideal.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Job Title: Quality and Compliance Manager

Position Summary:

The Quality and Compliance Manager is responsible for the management and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, as well as ensuring compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality) regulations within our production facility. This role requires a detail-oriented leader who can manage internal audits, develop and implement quality standards, and ensure that the facility consistently meets safety and environmental regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

• Quality Management System (QMS) Leadership:
• Maintain and enhance the company's QMS in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
• Lead and coordinate internal audits to ensure conformance to quality standards.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues, manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and work with cross-functional teams to resolve nonconformities.
• Ensure the ongoing certification and compliance of the facility with ISO 9001.
• Train and mentor employees on quality management practices and QMS requirements.
• Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
• OSHA Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations regarding workplace safety, employee health, and environmental hazards.
• Develop and implement safety protocols, procedures, and training programs to mitigate workplace risks and ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections, addressing any potential hazards or areas of non-compliance.
• Maintain accurate OSHA documentation, including incident reports, workplace safety inspections, and employee training records.
• Oversee emergency preparedness, including fire drills, evacuation plans, and response training.
• TCEQ Compliance:
• Oversee compliance with TCEQ regulations related to air, water, and waste management.
• Ensure that the facility maintains the necessary permits, certifications, and reports in alignment with environmental regulations.
• Develop and implement procedures to monitor and report emissions, waste disposal, and other environmental impacts.
• Conduct environmental audits to identify risks, and work to mitigate any environmental compliance issues.
• Manage the preparation and submission of environmental reports, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with TCEQ standards.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve product quality and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new policies, standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Strong ability to read and interpret profile and fabrication drawings
• Mechanical aptitude
• Understanding of production processes to help determine causes of non-conformances good communication in a team environment as well as critical thinking skills.
• Must be goal oriented in order to achieve daily production targets.

Preferred Qualification:

• Strong quality control background in the aluminum manufacturing industry. Self-driven with a demonstrated understanding of process performance evaluation and continuous improvement. Experience working with others to promote safety. The ability to build strong relationships with team members and promote a positive workplace culture. The ability to effectively communicate and build long-term relationships with customers

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field

Language/Communication Skills:

• English speaking is required, bilingual is ideal.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate and work with team members in a bilingual environment (with the use of an interpreter as needed).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Computer Skills:

Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools
