Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Quality Analyst/Principal Quality Analyst in Baltimore, MD. The role focuses on EVMS-based cost and schedule performance, labor allocation, and cross-functional coordination with program managers, finance, and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM field with minimum 2 years of EVMS experience or a Master’s with STEM field; or 6 years of related EVMS exp.
• Experience with data analytics and statistical analysis methods.
• Experience with EVMS and with estimates at completion, forecasting, budgeting, or resource planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality labor allocations across assigned programs.
• Lead CEAC meetings, prepare data, facilitate reviews, document assumptions, track actions.
• Develop and maintain Estimates at Completion for Quality scope; monitor costs and staffing.
• Ensure labor is charged to appropriate programs and cost accounts.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Quality Analyst/Principal Quality Analyst to join our BWI team in Baltimore, MD.

This position may be filled as a Level 2 or 3.

What You'll Get To Do

• Manage and oversee Quality organization labor and resource allocations across assigned programs.
• Lead recurring CEAC meetings, including preparing data, facilitating reviews, documenting assumptions, and tracking actions.
• Develop and maintain accurate Estimates at Completion for Quality scope.
• Monitor actual costs, commitments, budgets, forecasts, and staffing requirements.
• Apply Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles to evaluate cost and schedule performance.
• Analyze variances against program baselines and identify emerging cost, schedule, or resource risks.
• Prepare variance explanations, recovery plans, and leadership-level summaries.
• Partner with program managers, control account managers, Finance, Engineering, and Operations to validate forecasts and staffing projections.
• Ensure Quality labor is charged and allocated to the appropriate programs, work packages, and cost accounts.
• Review program demand and capacity data to identify resource gaps, competing priorities, and allocation conflicts.
• Support budget development, baseline planning, forecasting, and monthly program reviews.
• Maintain supporting documentation and ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and EVMS standards.
• Drive timely closure of actions resulting from CEAC and program performance reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve allocation, forecasting, reporting, and review processes.

Basic Qualifications For a Quality Analyst

• Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to include Earned Value Management; OR a Master's degree in a STEM field; OR 6 years of related experience to include Earned Value Management may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience with Data Analytics and Statistical Analysis methods and techniques
• Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
• Experience preparing or supporting Estimates at Completion, forecasting, budgeting, or resource planning

• Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience to include Earned Value Management; OR a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to include Earned Value Management with a Masters Degree in a STEM field; OR a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience to include Earned Value Management with a PhD Degree in a STEM field; OR 9 years of relevant experience to include Earned Value Management may be considered in lieu of degree
• Experience with Data Analytics and Statistical Analysis methods and techniques
• Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
• Experience preparing or supporting Estimates at Completion, forecasting, budgeting, or resource planning
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret security clearance
• US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving as a Control Account Manager or supporting control account management.
• Experience with SAP
• Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems, nonconformance management, and AS9100 requirements.
• Experience with manpower planning, capacity analysis, and indirect/direct labor allocation.

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,400.00 - $108,600.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
