Job summary

Centurion is seeking a full-time Qualified Medication Aide at Westville Correctional Facility in Westville, IN. The role supports nursing staff by administering medications, recording dosages, and monitoring patients in a correctional healthcare setting.

The QMA will take vital signs, assist with examinations and treatments, and help patients with daily living activities under RN direction. A QMA certification and CPR are required, with 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• QMA training program completion required.
• QMA certification required.
• Active CPR certification required.
• 1 year experience in acute/long-term care, emergency, or correctional setting preferred.
• Ability to obtain security clearance including drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses by administering medications and documenting dosages and times.
• Take vital signs and assist in examinations and treatments.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Monitor patients and report changes in condition.

We are currently seeking a full-time Qualified Medication Aide to join our team at Westville Correctional Facility located in Westville, Indiana.

The Qualified Medication Aide works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or other medical staff and is responsible for assisting nurses by following written and/or oral instructions to administer medications and document drug dosages and times of administration. The QMA takes vital signs, assists in examinations and treatments, and assists patients with activities of daily living. The QMA must monitor patients to report changes in their conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Graduation from a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) training program required
• QMA certification required
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• One (1) year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency, or correctional setting preferred
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shifts

Full-time days or nights, three shifts per week, every other weekend
