Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Diesel Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical systems, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8am to 5pm. This full-time position offers benefits, continuing certification training, and a tool program to support ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of diesel mechanic experience
• Ability to overhaul a diesel engine
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE or technical training preferred
• Proven experience with diesel engine systems
• Proficient with diagnostic software and tools

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and related systems (transmissions, brakes, electrical).
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate records of services and repairs.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, operators, and supervisors about repair status.
• Keep tools and work areas clean and organized.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy parts and tools.

Work Environment:

• Shop or field-based work with exposure to noise, grease, and diesel fumes.

• May require working evenings, weekends, or being on-call depending on employer needs.
