Job summary

Syensqo is seeking a Qualifications Engineer for our Havre De Grace, MD site to lead aerospace material qualifications and ensure compliance with quality standards.

You will initiate and execute qualification activities, collaborate across manufacturing, quality, customer engineering, and account management, and drive cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges while maintaining project timelines.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical/Materials Engineering.
• Knowledge of aerospace adhesive resin system formulations and/or applications (i.e. epoxy, phenolic, polyamide).
• Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must set high quality standards and have a strong sense of urgency (action oriented).
• Ability to create and lead cross functional teams engaging internal and external customers.
• Takes initiative in solving complex technical and process problems.

You will bring:

• BS or MS in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical/Materials Engineering

• Basic to intermediate understanding of the composite industry, including resin families, fibers
• Problem solving, technical presentations, relationship building and technical conflict resolution
• Basic understanding of analytical, physical, and mechanical test methods
• Basic understanding of statistical analysis
• Languages: English is a must.

You will get:

• The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $88,000 to $123,000 per year.
• Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range.
• Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
• Competitive salary (Assess the possibility to add salary range in the job ad) and benefits package
• 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations
