Job summary

Kalixnd in Minot, ND is seeking a Direct Support Professional for evening shifts (Thu 3p-9p, Fri 3p-11p, Sat 3p-11p). You will assist individuals with daily living and employment skills, transportation, safety, and meal planning, while maintaining confidentiality and respect.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, following plans, reporting incidents, and working with a team. Requirements include 18+, HS diploma/GED, valid license, insurability, and background check.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • A driving record that makes you insurable.
  • Must complete a successful background check.

Responsibilities

  • Assist people with basic living and employment skills as specified in plans.
  • Assist people with personal cares as specified in service plans.
  • Assist individuals with maintaining a clean, safe and orderly living and working environment.
  • Assist and maintain an individual’s schedule as needed.
  • Provide transportation as assigned.
  • Report all incidences of Abuse, Neglect or Exploitation.
  • Work as part of a team demonstrating agency values: Dependability, Adaptability, Professionalism and Teamwork.
  • Utilize a positive interaction style, treating people with respect and honoring choices.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all people receiving services and protect health information.
  • Administer medications, insulin and tubing feeding as assigned and certified.
  • Encourage menu planning and meal choices that follow dietary guidelines.
  • Participate in staff training, in-service and team meetings.
  • Assist people with finances, budgeting, balancing checkbooks and documenting purchases.
  • Collect data to monitor progress towards personal objectives.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Under the direction and supervision of the Residential/Employment Coordinator the duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • 1. Performing and assisting people with basic living and employment skills as specified in plans.

  • 2. Assisting people with personal cares as specified in service plans. (N/A for Job Coaches)

  • 3. Assisting individuals with maintaining a clean, safe and orderly living and working environment.

  • 4. Assisting and maintaining an individual’s schedule as needed.

  • 5. Providing transportation as assigned.

  • 6. Reporting all incidences of Abuse, Neglect or Exploitation.

  • 7. Working as part of a team by demonstrating Agency values: Dependability, Adaptability, Professionalism and Teamwork.

Requirements

Qualifications:
