Job summary

Envalior in Kaohsiung, Taiwan is seeking a QSHE Manager to ensure safe site operations and sustainable compliance with quality, security and environmental requirements. You will act as Management Representative for ISO 9001/ISO 14001 and drive continuous improvement across the site.

The role requires 10+ years in quality and SHE management, strong leadership, and fluency in English and Mandarin. This position is based on site with potential for cross-functional collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environment or Safety or related engineering.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• Experience with local permits and labor law.
• Excellent communication in English and Mandarin.
• 10+ years in quality and SHE management.
• Project management experience.
• Relevant environmental/OSHA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operations on site and sustainable compliance with Envalior SHE and Security Requirements, best practices and laws.
• Oversee ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 implementation and internal audits, and management reviews.
• Improve safety culture and ensure security and quality controls on materials and products.
• Lead Quality Management and SAP-related QA activities within manufacturing operations.

Job description

Are you passionate about manufacturing and want to contribute to a very challenging business? At Envalior, we are seeking a talented QSHE Manager to join our manufacturing site in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

As our QSHE Manager, you need to ensure safe operations on site and sustainable compliance with Envalior SHE and Security Requirements, best practices and other relevant laws and regulations.

• Provide an injury‑free and incident‑free workplace and prevent all work‑related disabilities or health problems.
• Improve the safe behavior and safety culture on site.
• Ensure the security control on site and quality of the incoming raw materials, in-process products and the finished products to meet global quality standards and meet the customers’ requirements.
• Ensure the lab operations at the lowest cost and in conformity with SHE, Security, Quality and Manufacture excellence requirements, best practices and other relevant laws and regulations.
• Implement, maintain and continuously improve ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems according to Envalior Quality Policy.

SHE, Quality & Security, Compliance and Management Systems

• ISO 14001 Environment Management System: Act as the Management Representative, ensure the system is in place and maintained sustainably, ensure a suitable documentation system, organize and conduct internal audits and management reviews, report performance and recommend improvement opportunities to Management, ensure compliance with relevant local laws and regulations, ENVALIOR SHE, Manufacturing, Quality and Security Requirements, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, RoHS, REACH and relevant customer requirements, ensure the management systems are implemented and followed, ensure ENVALIOR Life Saving Rules are followed, show leadership to promote safety and quality awareness, be responsible for SHE and Quality performance in the department, participate as an active member of the Site Management Team, proactively communicate SHE and quality issues, coach subordinates, ensure information security in the department.

Quality Assurance

• Approve product quality and release products (deputy).
• Act as the Management Representative for the implementation of ISO 9001 quality management systems, ensure the management system is in place and maintained sustainably, ensure a suitable documentation system, organize and conduct internal audits and management reviews, report performance and recommended improvement opportunities to the Site Management, provide guidance for all functions regarding quality assurance processes.

Manufacturing and SAP Roles

• Quality Manager in Quality Management Process: Process Owner of Quality Management, responsible for implementation of policy on Quality and quality management system, responsible for having the quality management system validated by an independent party, responsible for defining Quality Performance Indicators, responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting on Quality Performance Indicators.
• Key User for Quality Management Process: Responsible for giving functional input for system customization, responsible for preparing master data for system testing, responsible for stand‑alone functionality test, responsible for preparing work instructions where applicable, responsible for preparing training materials in Chinese where applicable, responsible for supporting in master data cleaning, harmonization and data migration, floor walk supporting immediately after go live.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or above with major in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, Environment or Safety or related engineering.
• Good knowledge in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• Local compliances/regulations related to permits, labor law.
• Balanced temperament, able to work under pressure and prioritize.
• Ability to work in multicultural and international environment.
• Good people management and communication skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Good spoken and written in English and Mandarin.
• At least 10 years of experience in quality and SHE management.
• Experienced in project management.
• Certificates in environment/OSHA relevant.
