PositionSummary

The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)provides direct community-based behavioral health services tochildren, adolescents, adults, and families. Services are designed to support recovery, promote independence, develop coping skills, and improve overall functioning while working collaboratively with clients, families, treatment teams, and community partners. Thisposition requires the ability to work independently in communitysettings while maintaining high standards of professionalism, documentation, and clinical care.

EssentialResponsibilities

• Provide direct community-based behavioral health services inaccordance with individualized service plans.
• Deliver skill-building, psychoeducation, crisis prevention, andsupportive interventions.
• Develop therapeutic relationships that promote client engagementand progress.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoingprofessional development.

• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, state, federal,and organizational requirements.

Requirements

Applicants must meet Virginia QMHP requirements, including one ofthe following:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, or a closely related field and eligibility as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) in Virginia.
• Meet Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and DevelopmentalServices (DBHDS) qualifications for QMHP designation.
