Oakmont Senior Living seeks a dedicated Medication Technician to oversee and assist with resident medications and daily care. You will collaborate with nursing and housekeeping to maintain safety and quality standards while supporting residents’ activities and independence.

The candidate should have medication assistance experience, be at least 18, and may require state-specific training. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a RCFE.
• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Medication Technician

The Medication Technician is responsible for supervising and assisting in the administration of medications to residents as ordered and in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, procedures, and practices of the company. In addition, the Medication Technician will provide direct personal care, encourage residents to participate in activities, and work with housekeepers and maintenance staff in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications

• Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
