Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy, a business within Primoris Services Corporation’s Energy segment, seeks a Zydeco-QHSE Technician to support the ongoing development, maintenance, and improvement of QHSE programs on assigned projects.

You will conduct regular site inspections, assist in QHSE training, investigate incidents, and maintain documentation, while promoting a strong safety culture and coordinating with project teams across all phases. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a QHSE role, ideally in construction or renewable energy.
• OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal/state/local regulations knowledge.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required; First Aid/CPR and HAZWOPER certifications preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to deliver training effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to travel to multiple project sites; physical ability to perform duties in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits related to quality, health, safety, and environmental practices.
• Assist in developing and delivering QHSE training for employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, prepare detailed reports, and propose corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate QHSE documentation, including permits, records, and training logs.
• Support emergency response plan implementation and participate in drills.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate QHSE requirements across project phases.
• Monitor environmental performance, waste management, spill prevention, and regulatory reporting.
• Assist in calibration and maintenance of safety equipment.
• Promote a strong safety culture through proactive communication and engagement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by QHSE Manager or project leadership.
