Job summary

IPL Schoeller is seeking a QEHS Specialist to support the plant's Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety programs on the production floor. You will verify product and process requirements, identify and resolve quality and EHS concerns, and assist with audits and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include conducting regular inspections, documenting nonconformances, leading root-cause analyses, and delivering toolbox talks on quality and EHS topics to operators and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical education in quality, manufacturing, EHS, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality, EHS, or related manufacturing role preferred.
• Working knowledge of quality inspection methods, manufacturing processes, and basic quality control principles; familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular production-floor walks and inspections; verify critical quality checks, work instructions, inspection practices, material identification, housekeeping around quality, safe work practices, and adherence to applicable standards.
• Conduct quality inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Document internal nonconformances, coordinate containment, ensure suspect material is identified and segregated, and follow disposition and closure.
