Job summary

Consolidated Nuclear Security seeks an experienced QCC Electrician to perform computer-based and manual calibration procedures ensuring instrument accuracy and compliance with DOE and international standards at the Oak Ridge facility.

The role requires four years of applicable industrial electrical/electronics experience, knowledge of the National Electrical Codes, and the ability to read schematics and maintenance documents. A DOE O 426.2A-compliant education or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Four years of applicable industrial electrical and electronics experience or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes and electrical safe work practices.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic/engineering diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, and vendor manuals.
• High School diploma or DOE O 426.2A alternative (per requirements).

• Performs computer system based calibration procedures to assure instrument specification accuracy and compliance to national and international standards associated with the calibration and control of measuring and test equipment.
• Performs manual calibration procedures to assure instrument specification accuracy and compliance with applicable DOE, national, and international standards.
• Records test data for all calibrated equipment as required.
• Reports defects observed during completion of calibration procedures.
• Assists in the development of automated and/or manual calibration/test procedures.
• May support additional organizations with the inspection, test, repair, service, fabrication, alters, and install of a wide variety of electrical power, electronic, and instrumental equipment, including controlling devices and wiring systems; precision mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic and pneumatic instruments and devices; radiation instruments, x-ray machines, computers, telephone equipment, radio networks, facsimile systems failures.
