Job summary

Actalent in Lenexa, KS is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Technician to ensure product compliance, document testing results, and determine the aesthetic quality of finished products. You will maintain SOP criteria for inspection, support GMP/GLP compliance, and contribute to department improvements while working a Monday–Friday onsite schedule.

The contract role offers hourly pay and opportunities to gain proficiency across testing areas and master documentation practices within quality

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in QC/QA or microbiology lab work.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations for medical devices.
  • Ability to manage tasks in an organized manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; SAP experience.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and review product compliance specifications and documentation.
  • Gain proficiency in all testing areas and document testing results.
  • Determine aesthetic quality on finished products.
  • Ensure SOP criteria for inspection and testing are met.
  • Responsible for maintaining department equipment and ordering consumable stock supplies when necessary.
  • Exercise GMP and GLP compliance in the work environment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement program within the department.
  • Assist in maintaining standards in accordance with GMP's/SOP's and ISO regulations.
Essential Skills
  • Quality control and microbiology expertise.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in related QC/QA, microbiology laboratory work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations for medical devices.
  • Ability to manage tasks in an organized manner.
  • Intermediate computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as SAP.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Laboratory experience in a biological sciences laboratory preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Adaptability to learn new procedures and maintain a scientific approach.
  • Availability to work alternate shifts when needed.
  • Professional workplace attitude.
  • Self-motivation, responsibility, and a strong teamwork spirit.
Work Environment

This position operates in a laboratory environment with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The role requires adherence to safety requirements and procedures, and a professional workplace attitude is essential.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lenexa, KS.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
