Job summary

GEA Group, located in York, PA, is seeking a Quality Control Technician II to join our Quality team. The role involves inspecting materials, ensuring compliance with ASME and GEA standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You will assist in nonconforming parts disposition, participate in calibration maintenance, and help train junior technicians while contributing to a strong quality culture across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years' related experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with blueprints and diagrams.
  • Quality control background in non-destructive testing methods.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials and parts according to inspection procedures.
  • Assist with disposition of nonconforming purchased parts and materials.
  • Assist in investigation of field complaints and production problems related to purchased parts and materials.
  • Maintain calibration program gauges, meters and misc. parts to support accredited Quality Systems.
  • Perform ASME Traveler Package preparation; perform electrical panel final inspection; read and follow engineering drawings and specifications; report issues and non-conforming parts to GEA SQDIP program.
  • Support training and development of level one quality control technicians.
  • Provide support to continuous improvement projects.
  • Inspect, test, certify Pressure Relief Valves to GEA and ASME requirements.
  • Other related duties as determined
