Job summary

Cascade Systems Technology in Hillsboro, OR is seeking capable manufacturing technicians to support electronic contract manufacturing. You will operate pick & place equipment, set up screen printers, verify feeder configurations, and follow production schedules under supervision.

Attention to quality and documentation is required as you help ensure on-time builds. Experience with SMT processes and reading build drawings is helpful.

• Experience with SMT processes and production equipment is beneficial.
• Ability to follow production schedules and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate pick & place equipment in production mode.
• Set up and operate screen printers.
• Verify feeder setup and load feeders.
• Perform Caltex Paste Height measurement as required.
• Complete SMT paperwork and record ESD checks.
• Follow weekly build/ship and production schedule and communicate if delays occur.
• Ensure proper documentation and understand the project before starting work.
• Review drawings for information and discuss concerns with supervisor.
• Maintain SMT machines and check for material shortages.
• Report machine problems immediately and escalate as needed.
• Communicate quality issues within 15 minutes of finding them.
• Redline and communicate documentation discrepancies.
• Work on equipment only after training/certification is complete.
• Keep production area clean and organized.

Please check out the following open position(s):

• Operate pick & place equipment in production mode.
• Set up and operate screen printers.
• Verify feeder setup and load feeders.
• Perform Caltex Paste Height measurement as required.
• Complete all SMT paperwork as required.
• Test and record ESD check as required.
• Follow weekly build/ship and production schedule for the department via immediate supervisor/team lead and inform immediate supervisor/team lead if schedule will not be met.
• Ensure receipt of proper documentation and make sure you have a strong understanding of the project prior to starting work.
• Review NPI product build assembly drawings for questionable information and review areas of concern with supervisor/lead prior to prepping kit.
• Ensure that SMT machines are operating and performing appropriately and check for shortages.
• Inform the supervisor immediately if there are any problems with machines.
• Communicate any quality issues to immediate supervisor/team lead within fifteen (15) minutes of finding.
• Redline and communicate any documentation discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
• Only work on equipment for which training and/or certification has been completed.
• Ensure your production area is clean and maintained.
