Job summary

Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. (NPAA) is seeking a QC Technician to join our team in the Cleveland area. You will perform in-process visual and physical testing to ensure product conformance, identify out-of-spec materials, and communicate discrepancies for corrective action.

Role requires 6 months of manufacturing or lab experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to operate basic lab testing equipment. Independent work and strict adherence to ISO/TS standards are essential.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in manufacturing or a lab setting.
• High School Diploma required; automotive manufacturing exp. preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO/TS quality systems and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conducts in-process visual and physical properties testing to determine product conformance (in spec).
• Identifies out-of-spec material as defined in the ISO/TS system and communicates discrepancies.
• Operates testing equipment following required instructions.
• Prepares and sprays testing panels and collects data from subordinates.
• Ensures QC equipment calibrations, verifications and maintenance meet ISO/TS requirements.
• Conducts customer-specified sample tests and reports discrepancies to leadership.
• Uses prudent safety, health, and environmental procedures.
• Relieves other technicians as needed.
• Operates simple laboratory testing equipment.
• Ability to work independently.

• Conducts in-process visual and physical properties testing to determine product conformance (in spec)
• Identifies “out-of-spec” material as defined in the ISO/TS system. Communicated discrepancies initiating appropriate inter-departmental corrective action forms
• Operates testing equipment by following operating instructions as required
• Responsible for the preparation and spray application of testing panels. Collects data from subordinates
• Ensures that QC equipment calibrations, verification and maintenance meets ISO/TS requirements.
• Conducts sample tests as specified by customer. Communicates discrepancies to team leader, QC supervisor or QC Manager
• Utilize prudent practices and appropriate safety, health, and environmental procedures as required
• Relieves other technicians as needed
• Operates simple laboratory testing equipment
• Ability to work independently

Qualifications

Experience

6 months of experience in manufacturing or in lab setting. Industrial or automotive experience preferred.
