Job summary

Psi Molded Plastics Indiana Inc in Wolfeboro, NH is seeking a Full Time Quality Control technician to ensure molded parts meet customer specifications. The role focuses on inspection, process validation, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of Quality Control experience in Lean manufacturing.
• Injection molding experience is a plus.
• Auditor training or certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements is a plus.
• Ability to manage Document Control workload with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment including FARO Arm and gages.
• Familiar with reading blueprints and customer drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

This position ensures injection molded parts are manufactured according to customer specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Determine all new production jobs meet customer requirements, (i.e. material, color, size, additives, assemblies, packaging, etc.).


• Assure operators are trained and comply with in-process procedures, (i.e. trimming, assembling, packaging, etc.).


• Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final audit inspections of products during the manufacturing process. Makes recommendations to approve/reject samples based on conformance requirements.


• Verify any non-conforming material or products are corrected and documented.


• Maintain all samples for start-up and final product.


• Perform customer mandated testing and related documentation.


• Serves as liaison between internal PSIMP departments and customers


• Document all work instructions and quality control documentation. This position is responsible for all document control activities for the facility.


• Participate in creating a culture of cooperation, support, continual improvement and overall team success.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's degree in a technical field, or equivalent related experience


• 2+ years’ Quality Control experience in a Lean manufacturing environment strongly desired


• Injection Molding experience is a plus


• Certified Auditor or some Auditor training is a plus


• Knowledgeof ISO 9001:2015 requirements a plus.


• Must be able to manage Document Control workload with minimal supervision


• Use all basic precision mechanical measurement equipment including FARO Arm, calipers, micrometers, comparators, bore gages, etc.


• Must be familiar with quality practices and procedures, (i.e. sampling plans, tolerance, functional testing, and visual inspections).


• Comfortable reading blueprints and customer related drawings.


• Strong computer literacy skills with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, project management and manufacturing software.


• Must possess good communication skills, written and verbal, and must be able to interact with customers and employees.


• Strong attention to details, highly organized, able to multi-task.


• Must be punctual and dependable, able to work with little supervision. Must be able to maintain files in a neat and orderly manner
