Job summary

STG Solar Co is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Technician for a utility-scale solar electrical subcontractor. You will conduct inspections, perform tests, and document findings to support the successful completion of solar projects.

The role requires familiarity with NEC requirements, strong analytical and communication skills, and relevant OSHA certifications; experience reading engineering drawings and project plans is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a quality control technician or in a similar role, preferably in solar or electrical construction.
• Familiarity with National Electric Code (NEC) requirements and electrical systems used in solar projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and project plans.
• Relevant certifications such as OSHA 10 or OSHA 30; additional certifications in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of electrical, mechanical, and civil systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Perform electrical testing and verification of system performance, including measurements of electrical termination and mechanical equipment torque specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
• Identify and report quality issues promptly, working with the QC Manager and site managers to implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all quality control activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Provide training and support to other team members on quality control procedures and best practices.
