Job summary

LKQ Corporation is hiring for a warehouse associate in Texas. You will clean and inspect vehicle parts, communicate with sales reps about inventory discrepancies, and prepare items for shipment. The role involves loading semi-trailers with a forklift and supporting other duties as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and may require forklift experience. Strong math and basic computer skills (Outlook/Word/Excel) are helpful to succeed in this role.

• Prepare for shipment – protect small parts with bubble wrap and pack securely.
• Load semi-trailers – organize racks with panels and small parts using a forklift.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Inspect parts – matching description and quality to how they were inventoried.Communicate with sales reps – Using email and/or phone to describe any discrepancies in quality or inventory of the part.Prepare for shipment – protect all small parts with bubble wrap and place them in a cardboard box, wrap bumpers with a protective cover, and place doors in racks divided by foam pads.Load semi-trailers going to other LKQ facilities – prepare racks with panels and small parts to be loaded on semi-trailers via a fork truck.Assume other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNot responsible for supervising employees.Basic QualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.0+ years of related experience required.Preferred QualificationsForklift experience.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics.Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records.
