Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking a QC Technician at our Bridgewater, NJ site. This role focuses on leading quality improvements and providing on-shift process expertise across production lines. You will conduct mechanical, metallurgical, electrical, and optical fiber testing, and support calibration and material inspections.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years manufacturing experience, lab/testing exposure, and NDT Level 1. A strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and continual improvement is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ manufacturing experience.
  • One year of laboratory and testing activities.
  • NDT Level 1 minimum.
  • Fiber Optics 1 year experience
  • Manufacturing Quality experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting mechanical testing.
  • Metallographic sample preparation and evaluation.
  • Mechanical and metallurgical validation testing.
  • Electrical cable testing.

In addition, this position will assist in monitoring critical process/ product measures and identify equipment and process improvements.***Principal job Duties & Responsibilities:**Responsible for but not limited to:* Conducting mechanical testing* Metallographic sample preparation and evaluation* Mechanical and metallurgical validation testing* Electrical cable testing* Optical fiber testing* NDT Calibration checks* Receiving and inspection of Material* Quality Control over Production process* Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of continuous improvement changes implemented at machine centers.* Test and report critical product measurements to ensure internal and external customer quality requirements are being met.* Test and audit raw materials received from all vendors/Suppliers* Perform calibration of equipment as necessary* Observe all Safety rules and procedures.* Maintain a clean and orderly work area to assure a desirable and safe work environment.* Perform other related duties as per the direction of the Manager.Any other duties that may be relevant due to experience, capability, knowledge, and education that may be directed by superior management personnel.Works with production supervision and management to facilitate an efficient operation plan on site.
