Job summary

First Soft Solutions LLC in Idaho City is seeking an experienced electrical/Instrumentation and control inspections professional to join on-site construction teams. You will verify installations, oversee testing readiness, and coordinate with engineering, construction, commissioning, and quality groups.

The role requires at least 4 years of site-based inspection experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage vendors.

Qualifications

• Min 4 years' experience in Electrical, Instrument & control inspections.
• Prior site-based construction experience.
• Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and startup activities for E&I systems.
• Experience preparing and managing quality documentation, inspection records, and NCR processes.
• Strong site coordination and leadership skills.
• Able to manage vendors.

• Verify delivered electrical items against IFC drawings, SLDs, cable schedules, specifications, and vendor documents.
• Check equipment location, mounting, cable routing, terminations, grounding, and installation interfaces.
• Identify shipping damage, missing components, and design or installation deviations.
• Raise inspection reports, punch items, and non-conformance reports.
• Coordinate corrective actions with engineering, construction, commissioning, and quality teams.
• Confirm electrical systems are ready for testing, energization, commissioning, and handover.
• Supervise the activities of contractors.
• Lead site inspectors and maintain inspection and completion records.

Work Requirements

This role is considered an on-site position located in Idaho

You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.

Construction environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
