Pfizer is seeking a leader for the Quality Control Microbiology organization in the United States. The role leads a team responsible for microbiological testing used to ensure product quality and process control, collaborating across Quality, Manufacturing, and Technical Services to maintain an inspection-ready laboratory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with relevant experience; or advanced degree with corresponding years of experience
• Extensive knowledge of cGMP for Quality Control Laboratories
• Experience in microbiological testing, lab operations, investigations and change management
• Understanding aseptic processing, contamination control and microbiological quality systems
• Experience leading teams or lab operations
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and oversight of a team performing routine microbiological testing for release of product and process samples
• Lead and develop QC Microbiology team with focus on safety, compliance and continuous improvement
• Set priorities and manage performance through coaching and resource deployment
• Drive operational excellence via standard work, visual management and process optimization
• Ensure compliance with Pfizer Quality Standards, regulatory requirements and current cGMP
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Technical Services and Supply Chain
• Monitor lab performance using metrics and trend analysis to improve compliance and efficiency
• Lead change initiatives and adoption of new technologies to enhance microbiology capabilities
