Job summary

Alcon is seeking a QC Microbiology Investigator for the ASPEX Facility in Fort Worth, TX. You will independently lead and troubleshoot microbiology investigations and support deviation closures within the QC Analysis and Testing Service Team.

You will review technical data, implement CAPAs, and collaborate across departments to meet on-time release objectives while adhering to regulatory requirements. This is an onsite role with standard weekday hours and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

Responsibilities

• Drive deviation investigations to true root cause using root cause analysis tools
• Identify and implement effective CAPAs to prevent reoccurrence
• Complete investigation summaries
• Analyze and/or review technical data for finished products, raw materials, in-process materials, release test samples or stability samples in compliance with company standards and governmental regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with other functional departments to meet site key objectives (On-Time Release, Key Projects, etc)
• Participate in continuous improvement activities looking to pursue laboratory best practice and offer appropriate feedback when nonvalue added activities are observed
• Effectively multi-task and drive investigation closures to target timelines
• Assist with chemistry investigations as needed
• Perform process equipment alarm deviations and mitigations

• Travel Requirements: 0-10%
