Job summary

Lief Labs in Valencia, California seeks a QC Microbiologist to join our Quality Control team in a GMP‑regulated environment, focused on microbiology testing of materials and finished products.

You will perform APC, yeast & mold, coliforms, E. coli, Salmonella, and other testing, review results, maintain auditable documents, and support CAPA and inspections.

Bachelor's degree in Microbiology with 5+ years in a regulated lab is required; familiarity with USP methods and LIMS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related science.
• Minimum 5 years in a GMP-regulated microbiology lab.
• Experience with microbiological testing and environmental monitoring.
• Experience supporting audits and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing of materials and products.
• Review results for FDA/USP/specifications.
• Maintain compliant lab documentation per GMP/GLP.
• Execute environmental monitoring programs.
• Support cleaning validation and equipment qualification.
• Lead or support investigations for OOS results.
• Collaborate with QA, production, and R&D.
