Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a QC Lab Technician for a client in Social Circle, GA. The role involves microbiological assays, data capture via LIMS, and strict adherence to GMP/SOPs. The position is a 6-month assignment with potential extension or conversion based on performance and budget.

Requirements include a Bachelors in Chemistry or Biology with relevant coursework and 0–2 years’ experience, plus safety training and familiarity with GC/HPLC/ICP techniques. LIMS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, or Biological Science with Analytical Chemistry or Microbiology laboratory coursework.
• 0–2 years’ experience (required).
• Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures (required).
• Experience with analytical techniques GC, HPLC, ICP, ICPMS (highly preferred).
• Experience with LIMS (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling activities and microbiological assays with precise analytical skills.
• Use laboratory instrumentation and computer systems (e.g., LIMS) to collect and record data.
• Complete testing and sampling in a timely manner adhering to aseptic practices.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with SOPs, FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP regulations.
• Perform laboratory and safety audits as required.
• Proficient in wet and instrumental analyses.
• Maintain inventory and supplies for routine testing.
• Strong problem solving and ability to handle multiple tasks.

Job description

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a QC Lab Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Social Circle, GA. Details for the position are as follows:

• Pay: $22-26/hr.
• Shift:
  • 2-2-3 shift, 12:00pm-12:30am
  • 2-2-3 shift, 6:00am-6:30pm
• 6-month assignment with possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.

Responsibilities:

• Perform sampling activities and microbiological assays requiring precise analytical skills and an understanding of microbiology principles under minimum supervision.
• Use sophisticated laboratory instrumentation and computer systems (e.g., LIMS) to collect and record data; perform assays requiring precise analytical skills and understanding of biology and chemistry principles.
• Complete all testing, sampling, in a timely and appropriate manner adhering to aseptic practices.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs and specifications, FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP regulations.
• Perform laboratory and safety audits as required.
• Proficient in wet and instrumental methods of analyses.
• Maintain inventory and supplies necessary to conduct routine testing and sampling.
• Advanced laboratory skills and basic knowledge of statistical method.
• Strong technical problem solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, and in a timely fashion.
• Must communicate effectively (verbal and written) with supervisors and peers.
• Knowledge of most laboratory equipment including but not limited to autoclaves, incubators,
