GPS in Columbia, SC seeks an experienced Wet Chemistry Lab Technician for a manufacturing-based laboratory environment.

Starting pay is $22.00/hr with a schedule of 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Benefits after hire include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and more. EOE.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associate degree coursework in Chemistry or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing wet lab.
• Skills: Basic written and verbal communication.
• Strong math skills and knowledge of wet lab chemistry.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
• Drug-free workplace and criminal background check required.

• Conduct chemical experiments and tests using techniques like gas chromatography and spectroscopy.
• Prepare chemical solutions and analyze solids, liquids, and gases for compliance.
• Monitor product quality and processing to meet standards.
• Maintain and clean lab equipment, ensuring a safe and organized workspace.
• Assist with plant raw material handling and maintain inventory.
• Inspect and prepare samples for shipment, following regulatory requirements.
• Record, compile, and interpret test results.
