Job summary

VincitGroup in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a QC Lab Technician to perform QC tests on raw materials and finished goods, prepare microbiology testing materials, and help maintain GLP records and calibration documentation.

The role supports the Laboratory Supervisor and Director of Technical Services, uses Sage X3 ERP, and requires an Associate degree with 0–2 years in an industrial chemical/microbiology lab; schedule is first shift, Monday–Friday, at 3401 Cummings Rd.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide basic QC analytical functions for raw materials and finished goods.
• Prepare testing materials for microbiology testing (buffers, agar, broths, inoculation).
• Assist with microbiological testing as required.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and assist with records, samples, and equipment.
• Support research and development projects in the laboratory.
• Complete additional projects as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

The QC Lab Technician position requires a general knowledge of science, including some basic chemical analyses. The position will conduct mainly QC tests on raw materials and finished products, batch adjustments, and become proficient in X3 (Sage - ERP software). This individual will follow GLP (Good Laboratory Parcticies) which include instrument calibrations and maintain manufacturing records. Manufacturing records include but not limited to COA (Certificate of Analysis), batch records and calibration records. This posistion will assist the, Laboratory Supervisor, Laboratory Manager and Director of Technical Services in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of Zeco lab testing. Organizing and cleaning the lab and performing testing on field samples may also be required when applicable.

• Provide all basic QC analytical functions for raw materials and finished goods
• Support the functions of the microbiology laboratory by preparing testing material such as buffer solutions, agar plates, test tubes, sample solutions, broths and inoculating correctly

• Assist with materials acquisition
• Support research and development projects in the laboratory
• Maintain cleanliness of laboratory and assist with records, samples, and equipment maintenance
• Prepare test solutions, compounds, or reagents for chemical laboratory personnel to conduct tests
• Complete additional projects as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENT(S): Specialized Skills/License/Certification

Required: Basic knowledge of science, especially chemistry and microbiology, with understanding of scientific principles and techniques and ability to work well on a team Preferred: Any variety of lab experience

EDUCATION:

Required: Associates degree with concentrations in laboratory techniques or commensurate work experience Preferred: Bachelor's degree

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 0-2 years' experience in industrial chemical/microbiology laboratory. Preferred: 2+ years' experience in industrial chemical/microbiology laboratory.
