MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions in West Haven, CT, seeks a QC Lab Support Assistant to bolster quality control workflows in our West Haven laboratory. You will handle sample intake, documentation handling, data entry, and general lab organization to keep throughput smooth.

This role supports QC chemists and lab staff with non-technical tasks, including sample login, filing, and data entry into the WinLIMS system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• 0-2 years of relevant job experience.
• Experience in a laboratory or quality control environment preferred.
• Experience with electronic systems such as LIMS.

Responsibilities

• Receive and organize incoming laboratory samples.
• Support sample login activities, verifying sample information and paperwork.
• File and organize QC paperwork per practices.
• Organize Raw Material Certificates of Analysis and other records.
• Stamp approved paperwork and file documents.
• Data entry for manual test results from batch tickets or lab docs.
• Enter manual instrument results into WinLIMS.
• Support routine administrative tasks related to lab data and records.
• Prepare documentation and packaging materials for external testing.
• Label and track samples shipped for external testing.
• Support 5S and organization in the laboratory.
• Assist with retain sample organization, storage, and disposal.
• Support glassware housekeeping and orderly storage areas.
• Provide general support to QC chemists and lab staff.

Who are we looking for?

The QC Lab Support Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Quality Control laboratory by assisting with sample intake, documentation handling, data entry, and general laboratory organization. This role helps ensure efficient sample flow, accurate documentation, and timely processing of routine laboratory activities. The position supports QC staff with non-technical tasks to help maintain laboratory throughput and organization.

What will you be doing?

• Assist with receiving and organizing incoming laboratory samples.
• Support sample login activities, including verifying sample information and required paperwork.
• File and organize QC paperwork in accordance with internal documentation practices.
• Assist with organizing Raw Material Certificates of Analysis) and other laboratory records.
• Stamp approved paperwork and ensure completed documents are properly filed.
• Perform data entry for manual test results from batch tickets, Delta V paperwork, or other laboratory documentation.
• Assist with entry of manual instrument results into the laboratory information system (WinLIMS).
• Support routine administrative tasks related to laboratory data and records.
• Prepare documentation and packaging materials for samples sent to outside laboratories.
• Assist with labeling and tracking samples shipped for external testing.
• Support laboratory 5S and organization efforts, including maintaining orderly workspaces and storage areas.
• Assist with retain sample organization, storage, and disposal activities.
• Support basic glassware housekeeping such as organizing clean and maintaining orderly storage areas.
• Provide general support to QC chemists and lab staff as needed to maintain workflow efficiency.

Who are You?

• High school diploma or GED, minium.Associate’s degree (A.A./A.S.) or technical coursework in Chemistry, Biology, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field, preferred
• 0-2 years of relevant job experience.
• Basic laboratory, manufacturing, or technical environment experience preferred.
• Ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain organized documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Prior experience working in a laboratory or quality control environment.
• Familiarity with basic laboratory practices and safety procedures.
• Experience working with electronic systems such as LIMS or similar data systems

The typical base hourly range for this position is between $23.02 to $34.52.
