Job summary

Expro in Houston, TX is seeking a Quality Inspector to effectively control the quality of supplier manufactured equipment and records. You will perform inspections pre, during and post qualification testing.

You will raise non-conformance reports, maintain calibration of inspection equipment, and ensure compliance with Goods Inwards Quality Procedures. The role requires 2+ years of experience, internal quality auditing training, knowledge of workshop procedures, risk assessment, and

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a similar quality role.
• Trained and Experienced Internal Quality Auditor.
• Good knowledge of workshop procedures and practices.
• Knowledge of Risk Assessment / Job Card / Engineering Test Procedure compliance.
• Excellent display of quality control / certification techniques.
• Satisfactory results of pre-employment screening (ie background check, drug/alcohol test, physical)

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection (visual, dimensional, gauging and comparison as appropriate) on new manufactured, repaired and modified equipment and components pre, during and post qualification testing.
• Raise Non-conformance Reports against non-conforming equipment / components and manufacturing, repair, modification quality records.
• Work in accordance with Goods Inwards Quality Procedures.
• Ensure inspection measuring equipment is kept safe, clean, fit for purpose and in current calibration.
• Perform inspection surveys on returned operational equipment (Expro and Customer owned).
• Perform Quality Control checks to Operations Support processes at key stages (i.e. prior to final shipment, job card completion etc).
• Witness pressure testing of equipment for certification to ensure that the tests are conducted to the required standards.

Overall Purpose of the Job

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regularly stand, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, and smell.
• Requires occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and exertion of force up to 43 lbs.
• Ability to see objects close, afar, and use peripheral vision is required.
• Ability to hear and take verbal direction over loud ambient noises is imperative for the safe execution of job duties. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noises.
• Works in a shop environment: regularly subject to cold, hot, wet or humid conditions resulting from weather or other various conditions.
