Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform on-floor quality checks for plastic pipe and fittings. The role offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus with payments after 3 and 6 months of continuous employment.

The successful candidate will inspect materials, operate measuring tools, and document test results. This is a full-time position in New York, with standard benefits and opportunities for growth within a large industrial group.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals.
• Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates samples of incoming materials.
• Assists with and performs physical tests on plastic pipe and fittings.
• Inspects plastic pipe and fittings while in process and finished stages.
• Uses saws to cut test samples.
• Distributes reports and tests as necessary.
• Uses hand measurements tools including calipers and dial gauges.
• Pull samples from floor.
• Other duties as needed.

National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking a Quality Inspector to perform quality checks on the production floor. There is a $2000 sign-on bonus for this position with the first $1000 paid after the first 3 months of continuous employment and another $1000 paid after 6 months of continuous employment.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent Vocational Training/Certification, other related experience or combination thereof
• At least 1 year of related experience, preferred
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and directions
• Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company
• Computer literate experienced with Microsoft Office software
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation

• The hourly pay rate is $19 - $23/hr
