Job summary

Aerospace Lubricants in Columbus, OH, part of AMSOIL, seeks a QC Chemist to evaluate lubricants for R&D and QC programs. The role emphasizes developing lab capabilities and ensuring safe, accurate data for quality decisions.

The position supports calibration, ASTM methods, and continuous lab improvements while collaborating across QA, production, and external partners. Evening shift is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.
• 3+ years of experience in a lab or QC role.
• Strong analytical, data analysis and reporting abilities.
• Ability to follow ASTM methods and laboratory SOPs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical and chemical testing to enable product development and QC.
• Provide technical reports and store test records per lab practices.
• Support QA/production by testing samples and reporting findings.
• Assist blending/packaging of experimental formulations for testing.
• Troubleshoot lab data quality and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and document new lab methods and manage documentation.
