Job summary

Randstad USA in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a detail-driven QC Scientist I to perform residual active pharmaceutical and detergent analyses in support of high-impact production operations.

Responsibilities include routine chemical testing with HPLC and Mass Spectrometry, reporting OOS results, calibrations, and meticulous record-keeping in cGMP/GLP-compliant systems. Bachelor’s degree in a physical science is required and US work authorization is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a physical science (Chemistry preferred) or higher.
• Working knowledge and practical execution of HPLC and Mass Spectrometry.
• Understanding of qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis under cGMP.
• Strong written and verbal communication with adherence to SOPs and safety.
• US work authorization without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine chemical testing of residual samples using HPLC, MS and TOC.
• Identify, document and report OOS results and anomalies promptly.
• Perform routine instrument calibrations and maintenance per cGMP/GLP.
• Prepare test solutions, diluents and mobile phases for daily runs.
• Maintain thorough documentation in laboratory data systems.

education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a physical science, preferably Chemistry (or equivalent practical experience)

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine chemical testing of residual swab samples using validated HPLC, Mass Spectrometry, and TOC techniques.
• Identify, document, and promptly report out-of-specification (OOS) results and unexpected analytical anomalies.
• Perform routine instrument calibrations, verifications, and equipment maintenance in compliance with cGMP and GLP guidelines.
• Prepare complex test solutions, diluents, and mobile phases for daily analytical runs.
• Maintain rigorous documentation of all testing procedures and acquired data within established laboratory data systems.

Qualifications

required:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a physical science, preferably Chemistry (or equivalent practical experience).
• Working theoretical knowledge and practical execution of HPLC and Mass Spectrometry techniques.
• Demonstrated understanding of qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis within a regulated cGMP environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with strict adherence to SOPs, analyst guidelines, and lab safety protocols.
• U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship requirements.

Preferred

• 1-2 years of hands-on experience performing chemical testing with chromatographic techniques in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
