Martin Sprocket & Gear in Mansfield, TX is seeking a skilled Mechanical Inspector. You will inspect precision components, read blueprints, and use precision tools to ensure tolerances. Calibrate in-house tools and maintain accurate inspection records, supporting a standards-driven manufacturing environment.

The role requires 1–3 years’ experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a non-climate-controlled setting. A HS diploma is required and bilinguals are a plus.

• Experience with AX Shop Floor system is a plus.
• 1-3 years of experience in a calibration lab.

What will you do?

In this role, you will use process sheets, blueprints, and measuring tools to inspect completed parts for acceptable tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Inspection

• Perform detailed inspections of precision-manufactured components: (1-3 years of experience required).
• Read and interpret blueprints: (1-3 years of experience required).
• Utilize a variety of manual hand tools including but not limited to: (1-3 years of experience required).

  • Depth Micrometers
  • Gage Blocks
  • Pin/Plug Gages
  • Taper Gages
  • Tri-Micrometers
  • Material Hardness Tester
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspections using the AX Shop Floor system.

Calibration Duties

• Perform calibration of in-house tools such as:
  • Calipers
  • Pin/Plug Gages
  • ID/OD Micrometers
  • Depth Micrometers
  • Various shop tools
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and calibration protocols.
• Accurate documentation of all calibration activities
• Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 03:00 PM

• 1-3 years of experience in a calibration lab
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• High School Diploma (Required)
• Bilingual would be a plus.
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environment.
