About The Role

This Quality Control (Q/C) Apprentice position is a developmental opportunity designed for individuals with little to no prior experience in materials testing or construction quality control. The role provides hands‑on training and mentorship to build foundational skills, with the goal of preparing the apprentice for certification and long‑term success in the field.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Assist in collecting and testing materials to ensure product quality and consistency
  • Operate and maintain lab and field‑testing equipment under supervision
  • Accurately document test results and report any variances or irregularities
  • Support quality control initiatives and learn compliance requirements
  • Learn from experienced technicians with the goal of achieving QC Inspector certification within two years of commencing employment
What Are We Looking For
  • Strong interest in materials testing and construction quality control
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Solid communication and documentation skills
  • Capable of performing physical tasks in varied environmental conditions
  • Willingness and ability to learn technical procedures and pursue certification
Conditions of Employment
  • Successful candidate must submit to post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
  • Expectation to pursue the QC Inspector certification within two years of commencing employment
Work Environment
  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
