Job summary

Austin Commercial seeks a QA/QC Manager for a large Lehi, UT project with a plan to transition into a traveling role across projects nationwide after the initial assignment. You will lead QA/QC programs, supervise engineers, and interface with clients and architects to ensure quality objectives are met.

Require BS in Engineering, 6–10 years QA/QC experience in construction or semiconductor projects, OSHA 30, strong communication and leadership skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
  • 6-10 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance/Control related role and experience developing and implementing Design/Construction Quality Programs.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing, semiconductor construction, or other advanced technology projects is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience implementing and managing QA/QC programs on large-scale semiconductor projects is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and support projects throughout the United States following completion of the initial Lehi, UT assignment.
  • Successful completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within first year of employment)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to clearly communicate with clients and employees
  • Ability to build and assist with leading high performing teams at the project and department levels
  • Basic understanding of word, excel, CMIC, Bluebeam and BIM 360 Field

  • Manages and spot checks field installations for compliance with contract documents; provides resolution of issues like punch list items and non-compliance.
  • Leads and participates in pre-activity and weekly Quality Control meeting.
  • Implements Quality Control software like BIM 360 Field.

This position will initially be assigned to the Lehi project for approximately the first year and will transition into a traveling role supporting projects nationwide upon project completion. As a QA/QC Manager, this position ensures that internal and external requirements as well as project quality objectives are met in order to deliver the contractually agreed scope to the customer in relation to both the Quality Management system and project. This position contributes to the development and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.

  • Manages and spot checks field installations for compliance with contract documents Provides resolution of issues like punch list items and non-compliance. issuances Provides a direct communication channel to the Project Director for concerns, observations, and good practices noted by Quality Control representatives Participates in pre-bid and pre-construction meetings to review and set quality expectations.
  • Leads and participates in pre-activity and weekly Quality Control meeting.
  • Implements Quality Control software like BIM 360 Field.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Science, or related field
