Job summary

Latitude 36, Inc. is seeking a Software Tester for manual and automated testing in Phoenix, AZ. The role supports a 6-week contract with potential extension and focuses on developing test plans, executing cases, and validating solutions against requirements.

The position requires experience with Windows environments, SQL, ETL processes, and familiarity with SDLC/AGILE methodologies, plus strong collaboration with developers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Windows Server experience
• SDLC methodologies such as Agile (Scrum, Kanban)
• Intermediate proficiency with Visual Studio/TFS/VSTS
• Intermediate knowledge of STLC
• Intermediate experience with .Net applications and ETL processes
• Intermediate familiarity with SQL Server 2008 R2 & 2016
• Intermediate skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, scenarios, cases, and scripts to ensure comprehensive testing coverage
• Provide guidance to developers in implementing solutions according to specified requirements
• Execute tests following documented cases/scripts and verify that applications align with business requirements defined by user acceptance criteria
• Conduct user acceptance testing with end users to ensure the delivered solution meets their expectations
• Document and track software defects and issues related to performance and usability
• Identify, assess, and document business needs, objectives, operational processes, and requirements
• Understand the existing business case and identify gaps in documented processes
• Perform requirements elicitation, documentation, and management, along with use case documentation to assist developers
• Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders at all organizational levels while resolving conflicts objectively
• Identify and document processes related to Business Analysis and Quality Assurance standards, highlighting improvement opportunities
• Recognize candidates for test automation, detail test flows, and implement using approved tools
