Job summary

EK Machine in Wisconsin is seeking a Quality Inspector to test and inspect products at various production stages and to compile and evaluate statistical data for quality and reliability.

The role involves interpreting drawings, selecting tests, creating quality plans, and using metrology equipment like CMMs. Strong attention to detail and basic math skills are essential, with manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Detail-oriented and precise in work.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions, memos, and operating procedures.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Comfortable communicating one-on-one with team members.
• Basic math skills including whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings or formulas to determine quality standards.
• Select products for tests at production stages and test for dimensions, performance, and characteristics.
• Create quality plans based on drawings and specs.
• Use metrology equipment, including CMMs.
• Record data and apply statistical quality control procedures.
• Evaluate data and write reports on deviations from standards.
• Recommend modifications to improve quality within equipment limits.
• Prepare customer-required quality documentation.
• Set up and perform destructive and nondestructive tests.
• Prepare graphs or enter data for analysis.
• Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
