Job summary

Netpace Inc. in Richmond, CA seeks 2 QA Technicians for Richmond Bread to handle sampling, testing, data entry and documentation, with a focus on GMP and HACCP compliance. Shift is 1st, Monday through Friday, 6am–2:30pm, with overtime and occasional Saturdays as workload requires.

Pay rate ranges from $28.00 to $30.00 per hour; interview will be conducted via Teams. Candidates must be eligible to work indefinitely without restrictions and be able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree (Food Science, Biology, Microbiology or related science) and minimum 2 years experience or an additional 4+ years (min 6 years) if no degree.
• HACCP certified required, PCQI certified required, GFSI experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Microbiological, Physical, Chemical and Organoleptic Testing.
• Ensure client policies, procedures, and workplace safety are adhered to.
• Evaluate trends from test results and develop plans to correct deficiencies and communicate these plans to employees, and management.
• Implement quality control processes/testing to meet the expectations of clients quality standards and ensure that the product(s) are within specification.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Utilize and maintain inventory on laboratory and sanitation supplies.
• Good oral/written communication skills.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
• Proficient in window-based PC programs.
• Lab Test Equipment/Maintenance.
• Must follow current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Sanitation Practices, Food Safety and Occupational Safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs as well as the ability to safely climb ladders and work at elevated heights to perform inspections, cleaning, maintenance, and other job-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sampling, testing, plating, reading, and recording product test results. Troubleshoot out-of-spec results.
• Ensure daily records are kept and maintained.
• Data Entry, tracking and interpretation.
• Follow QC Hold Procedures for out-of-specified products.
• Follow SOPs and maintain 5-S rating of an "A".
• Be flexible in working hours and assist in continuous improvement.
• Equipment calibration and troubleshooting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Meet with supervisor daily to discuss production issues.
• Review all production records, including CCP's, daily.
• Follow-up customer complaints and communicate with production; manage product specifications.
• Coordinate HACCP team; implement GMPs, Food Safety and regulatory compliance training.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and effective communication for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Manage multiple tasks related to food safety and regulatory compliance.
