Job summary

Spice World, LLC is seeking a QA Technician to monitor and enforce GMP, QA, and food safety across our warehouses and production sites. You will perform qualitative and quantitative testing, document results, and ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulations.

The role requires maintaining sanitation records, calibrating equipment, and supporting continuous quality improvements. Bilingual English/Spanish and at least two years in manufacturing are preferred for this position in

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years in a manufacture environment, preferably food preparation.
  • Basic understanding of written English and Spanish. Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and QA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative testing of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Monitor, document and enforce GMP, QA, Food Safety and Legal Compliance.
  • Perform pH analysis on finished product and acidified water, as applicable.
  • Record and compile test results and maintain quality records.
  • Calibrate and sign off laboratory equipment; maintain sanitation records.
  • Inspect and sanitize lab facilities; manage chemical inventory usage.
  • Prepare and refill chemical solutions for sanitation; environmental sampling.
  • Report actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to management.

Education

High School Diploma , GED or (Technical / AEE Diploma) a plus
Associate degree in science, preferably

QA Technician

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be required to monitor, document and enforce GMP, Quality Assurance (QA), Food Safety (FS) and Legal Compliance at Spice World, Jenard Fresh and company operated warehouses.


  • Responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative testing of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative testing of raw materials throughout the entire production process.
  • Conduct daily Pre-op Inspections and Corrective action documentation.
  • Daily GMP’s monitoring.
  • Perform product specification analysis based on customer specs.
  • Conduct standardized tests to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Record and compile test results.
  • Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment.
  • Examine samples to identify extraneous material.
  • Perform pH analysis on finished product and acidified water, as applicable.
  • Maintain shelf-life samples.
  • Maintain clean and safe working environment.
  • Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Conduct environmental sampling.
  • Maintain quality, food safety, HACCP records.
  • Calibration and sign off laboratory equipment.
  • Validation of X-ray device.
  • Maintain and verify sanitation records.
  • Prepare and refill chemical solutions for sanitation.
  • Update chemical inventory when use chemicals.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

This is a second shift position. Availability to work five days an eight to ten hours shifts from Monday to Friday and overtime hours as needed. Availability to work on Saturdays and Sundays as per the department schedule.


Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma , GED or (Technical / AEE Diploma) a plus.
  • At least two (2) years in a manufacture environment, preferably food preparation.
  • Utilize knowledge and requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Associate degree in science, preferably.
  • Basic understanding of written English and Spanish. Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime and /or Saturdays.

  • Good communicator and listener.
  • General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, repair and service.
